The Hidden Risk in Every Data Center

Water is one of the most overlooked threats to critical infrastructure. A single undetected leak can cause catastrophic damage within minutes.

Equipment Destruction

Even small amounts of water can permanently damage servers, switches, UPS units, and other high-value IT assets.

Costly Downtime

Water damage leads to unplanned outages, SLA breaches, and recovery costs that far exceed the cost of a detection system.

Facility Damage

Structural damage to raised floors, cabling, and building systems from prolonged water exposure.

Security Incidents

Water ingress from cooling leaks or external sources can trigger fire suppression or disable security systems.

Two Systems, Full Coverage

Choose the right detection approach for your site's layout and requirements.

Locating System

Detects AND pinpoints the exact location of a water leak to within ±1 meter precision.

The locating water leak detection system uses detection panels and sensor modules programmed to detect and pinpoint leak locations with ±1m precision. Detection panels connect to supervising displays where data is visualized via a customized virtual map, allowing operators to immediately identify the exact leak location and dispatch a response.

System Components
Detection Panel

Central controller that processes sensor signals, calculates leak position, and triggers alarms.

Sensing Cable

Water-sensitive rope or tape routed along at-risk areas — under raised floors, around cooling units, and beneath pipe runs.

Supervisory Display

Visual interface with customized virtual map showing the exact zone and distance of any leak detected.

Key Capabilities
  • ±1 meter leak location precision
  • Customized virtual map visualization
  • Zone-by-zone monitoring of the entire sensor network
  • Immediate alarm with exact position readout
  • Integration with DCIM and BMS systems
  • Suitable for under-floor, ceiling void, and perimeter runs

Non-Locating System

Area/zone-based water presence detection with visual inspection alert.

The non-locating water leak detection system provides area and zone-based detection of water presence, alerting operators to visually inspect the identified zone. Typically deployed in defined zones such as beneath specific aisles or around cooling units, it is a cost-effective approach for areas with clear access for rapid visual inspection.

System Components
Spot Sensors

Point-type sensors placed in critical locations to detect the presence of water and trigger zone alarms.

Zone Controller

Aggregates alarm signals from multiple sensors within a zone and activates audible/visual alerts and notifications.

Alarm Module

Audible and visual alarm output with relay contact for integration with BMS, DCIM, or facility management systems.

Key Capabilities
  • Zone-based detection under aisles and near cooling units
  • Rapid alert to trigger visual inspection
  • Flexible sensor placement for any floor plan
  • Relay output for BMS / DCIM integration
  • Low installation and maintenance cost
  • Ideal for smaller facilities or low-risk zones

Common Installation Zones

Water can enter or collect in many areas — here's where to protect first.

Raised Floor

Under server room raised floors where water from cooling systems or plumbing leaks can pool undetected.

Cooling Units (PAC/CRAC)

Around precision air conditioning units prone to condensate overflow or refrigerant leaks.

Pipe Runs & Manifolds

Along water-cooled rack or chilled water distribution piping and connection points.

Entry Points

At doors, loading docks, and cable penetrations where water ingress from outside is possible.

Battery Rooms

Around UPS battery banks where electrolyte or cooling water leaks require immediate detection.

Roof & Ceiling Voids

Above suspended ceilings in spaces prone to roof leaks or condensation from HVAC equipment.
